Aquarius Screen Printing and Embroidery, was established several years ago, as a gap was seen in the market for affordable, high quality, "delivered on time" screen printing and embroidery.

Although there are a multitude of companies out there offering these services, it was found to be percived as expensive and seemingly elitist.

From day one, Aquarius smashed this myth by offering cost effective, delivered on time products and services, from our Owner Run and Supervised Premisses, in Diep River.
In an effort to remain on the cutting edge whilst sticking to our original mission statement, we are constantly improving our working methods, equipment and personel, the benefits of which are passed onto you, the customer, in terms of cost effectiveness, lead-times and high quality products.

We are constantly seeking ways to improve, and hope with the introduction of this Webpage, to add a new dimention of electronic communication and exposure to our thriving business, whilst hopefully offering you, our client, insight and a new portal to expand your business.

So, keep an eye on this space, we will be introducing alot of new idea's and specials, and hope to get feedback on these and anything else you think or would like to see.

One of our two (2) main focuses, Screen-printing first appeared in a recognizable form in China during the Song Dynasty (960–1279 AD).Japan and other Asian countries adopted this method of printing and advanced the craft using it in conjunction with block printing and paints.
Screenprinting is more versatile than traditional printing techniques. The surface does not have to be printed under pressure, unlike etching or lithography, and it does not have to be planar. Screenprinting inks can be used to work with a variety of materials, such as textiles, ceramics, wood, paper, glass, metal, and plastic.

The second of our focuses, Embroidery is the art or handicraft of decorating fabric or other materials with needle and thread or yarn. Embroidery may also incorporate other materials such as metal strips, pearls, beads, quills, and sequins.

A characteristic of embroidery is that the basic techniques or stitches of the earliest work—chain stitch, buttonhole or blanket stitch, running stitch, satin stitch, cross stitch—remain the fundamental techniques of hand embroidery today.

Much contemporary embroidery is stitched with a computerized embroidery machine using patterns "digitized" with embroidery software. In machine embroidery, different types of "fills" add texture and design to the finished work. Machine embroidery is used to add logos and monograms to business shirts or jackets, gifts, and team apparel as well as to decorate household linens, draperies, and decorator fabrics that mimic the elaborate hand embroidery.
